What is the Espiral Method?

The Espiral Method is a socio-educational approach developed and applied since 2008 in the prevention of violence and in the care of children, adolescents, families and professionals in the protection network.

Created from the master's thesis of psychologist Neusa Sauaia, the method is based on the activation of protective factors, the expansion of internal resources, and the cultivation of a new way of looking at individual and collective commitment in the prevention of violence.

For 17 years, the Espiral Method has strengthened bonds, promoted resilience, and offered concrete paths for those working in fostering and protection, being applied in:

Neusa Sauaia

Psychologist graduated from PUC-SP, Master in Clinical Psychology and specialist in Jungian Psychotherapy with Body Techniques from the Sedes Sapientiae Institute. Has advanced training in Healing Method and Somatic Experiencing. Member of the Brazilian Institute of Sandplay Therapy and the editorial board of Jung & Body magazine. Founder and president of Núcleo Espiral and creator of the Espiral Method, she has worked for over 40 years in clinical practice, trauma, domestic violence, and sandplay.

Ingryd Abrão

Clinical psychologist, graduated from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, specializing in the Espiral Method and Psychological Interventions in Emergencies and Crises. Operational Director of Núcleo Espiral, she has over 10 years of experience in managing social projects focused on children and adolescents.

Clinical psychologist and facilitator at Núcleo Espiral since 2016. She holds a specialization in Analytical Psychology and is a postgraduate student in Neuropsychology. She facilitates group sessions with children and adolescents, as well as with their families and educators from partner institutions, using the Espiral Method.

Cristiane Lago

Clinical psychologist, specializing in Analytical Psychotherapy, Body-Oriented Therapy, and the Espiral Method in Violence Prevention. A co-founding member of the Daemon Group for Jungian Studies, she has dedicated herself to the study of analytical psychology since 2020, focusing on the works of Jung, Fordham, Neumann, and Von Franz, and on the themes of trauma, dreams, development, sexuality, and psychopathology.
